October 23-26

Thursday, October 25th, 2007

We will be discussing the Ottoman, Saffavid, and Moghul Empires.  Students will first complete the vocabulary and people identification.  They will also be required to create flashcards for in class study.  Students will be given time in class to review with each other and share tips for remembering the vocabulary.  Chapter 8 vocabulary and people test will be Friday.

Instruction and discussion will take place using Powerpoint as a means to present information.  Understanding the development of these three empires is important to understanding the impact of Islam on the Middle East and its connections today.
