French Revolution

We will spend the first couple of days back reviewing first semester, with an emphasis on the French Revolution.

Several activities planned for this week. Since I am not sure how long each will take I am typing them all together.

Welcome Back Review-

  • Purpose: 
    • To review what we know and add to it.
  • Process: 
    • You will be given a list of topics.
    • Write as much as you can about each.
    • You do not have to use complete sentences.
    • Write neatly so you can share with others.
  • Time: 
    • 5 minutes to intro, explain and answer questions
    • 15 minutes to brainstorm, individually, no talking
    • 15 minutes to exchange ideas
    • 15 minutes to review what we know
  • Grade: 
    • Participation, determined by observation

Overview of the French Revolution

PowerPoint will be used- printed or projected depending on classroom facility. We will review the causes, decisions, and influences of the French Revolution and evaluate the role of Napoleon, as well as others.

Compare revolutions in Latin America and Caribbean-

Include Haiti, Colombia, Venezuela, Argentina, Chile, Mexico.

Friday: Quiz using material from the week. Latin America map test. Begin chapter 12.
